How Smartlipo™ Works

Smartlipo is a laser assisted lipolysis procedure that uses a thin laser to target and liquefy fat cells. A gentle suction is then used to drain the melted fat cells from the treated body area. Simultaneously, tissue around the treated area coagulates, resulting in overall tighter skin tissue.
Smartlipo is a minimally invasive procedure, requiring only local anesthesia. No stitches are used after the treatment is preformed, resulting in little to no scarring. Typically, patients can resume work within 24 hours and resume exercise after three weeks.
Generally, only one treatment is required. Results can be noticed within a week, with continued improvements over 3 to 6 months.
Smartlipo is designed to remove "pockets" of fat from body areas that are resistant to exercising and dieting. Ideal candidates are in good health and close to their normal body weight.
